It has been in the works for ages, has lost more directors than fingers on one hand, has been revamped, re-written, you name it. Its really hard to capture animations in live action movies, plus wed get to see UC 1-3 (or just 3 is seems) in full CGI giving fans a taste of what a UC1-3 remake could look like. The Uncharted film has been a long time coming. It covers how Drake becomes a treasure hunter as he unravels one of history’s greatest mysteries that spans the globe. Set as a prequel to the games, it will tell the tale of how Nathan Drake came to meet and befriend Sully. That cargo plane scene will look familiar to fans of the Uncharted 3 game. In the trailer, there's also an evil Antonio Banderas looking swish in his tux, a couple of wisecracks, Nathan Drake being unable to understand a Scottish accent, and plenty of shots of treasure. Out February 18 exclusively in theaters, going by the trailer it seems you can expect plenty of action, and falling out of airplanes like in Uncharted 3. The airplane setpiece that ends the trailer is straight from. Though I am annoyed that the whole scene is just ripped from Uncharted 3, wish it was something new and original. The trailer appears to throw in a few nods to the Naughty Dog-developed games, with plot elements borrowed from both Uncharted 3 and 4.
